🌾 Homemade Baby “Horlicks” (Malted Drink Powder)
Ingredients
✅ ½ cup whole wheat grains
✅ ½ cup sprouted ragi (finger millet) or ragi flour
✅ ¼ cup roasted gram (chana dal)
✅ 5–6 almonds (optional, if baby is not allergic)
✅ 3–4 cashews (optional)
✅ 2 tablespoons cardamom powder (for flavor)
Instructions

Sprout & dry wheat and ragi (optional but more nutritious):

Soak wheat and ragi for 8–10 hours, drain, tie in a cloth, and allow to sprout for a day.

Dry the sprouts completely under the sun or in a low-temperature oven.

Roast the dried wheat, ragi, chana dal, and nuts (if using) on low heat until aromatic. Cool completely.

Grind the roasted ingredients into a fine powder. Sieve to remove any coarse bits.

Add cardamom powder for flavor, and store in an airtight container.
How to Use
✅ Mix 1 tablespoon of this homemade powder with warm milk or water.
✅ Stir well to avoid lumps.
✅ Serve warm.
